Olympian Jonathan Tiomkin began fencing at the late age of 17. Within two years of fencing he was ranked second in the country in Juniors, made the Junior World Championship Team and won the "Senior Men's" National Championships. His career continued to accelerate and by 21 he became a member of the Senior World Championship Team and was ranked number one in the US. Jonathan stayed on his winning path making 6 World Championship Teams and becoming a member of the 2004 United States Olympic Fencing Team.
